A Traditional Community local pub
The Archer is one of the oldest pubs in the area dating back to 1790. After a number of name changes the pub is back to its original name and boasts some excellent historical drawings inside.
A community pub offering a warm welcome and friendly service from Gemma and her team. The Archer offers a great selection of cask ales from Hop Back as well as guest beers and a comprehensive range of other drinks.
In the summer the outside patio is a sun trap and allows people to relax and watch the world go by.

A Hop Back pub that serves real ales and bar snacks at reasonable prices. A good meeting place before going into town. A nice outside seating area, both child and animal friendly ( A sun trap weather permitting). … plus a very good bus route for both Hanley and Newcastle with bus stops outside. In a village location, close to shops, parks, and community facilities.
Excellent range of cask conditioned ales with an ever-changing guest list. Reasonable prices and no loud music or slot machines.
