The Hopleaf
The Hopleaf is a traditional ale led pub in the heart of residential Reading.
A traditional drinkers’ pub managed by Yas and her friendly team. We pride ourselves on serving top notch cask beer and continental lagers. The Hopleaf also has Reading’s only Bar Billiards table!
A traditional wet-led pub with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. A CAMRA pub where pride is taken is serving a range of quality real ales as well as selection of ciders, lagers, wines and spirits.
Probably the only pub in Reading with a Bar Billiards table.

…the quality of the (mostly Hop Back) beer is ALWAYS terrific, particularly the Summer Lightining which is more or less the house beer.
I go in every time I am back and am never disappointed by the quality of the ales – 6 Hop Back beers plus a Downton.
This place I found for the first time a few years ago as part of the first Reading Ale Trail. It’s a pub with a great atmosphere, the staff are welcoming and friendly; the beer is very well kept and delicious. A hidden gem worthy of a visit.
