The Glue Pot
Situated in the heart of Brunel’s railway village, a short walk from Swindon station
Situated in the heart of Brunel’s railway village, the Glue Pot is a fantastic small traditional pub. The pub is named for the glue pots nearby coachbuilders would bring into the pub at lunchtime and place on the central stove to keep warm.
Manager Mark and his team are always friendly and welcoming, and very knowledgeable about their beers. Make sure you don’t miss the large chalk boards on the wall outlining each day’s offering and what the team think of each beer or cider.
The pub also boasts a great selection of traditional ciders, a selection of malt whiskeys, bottled beers and wines all hand picked by Mark.
Filled rolls and wraps are available every lunchtime.

Testimonials
- An impressive 8 real ales on tap in a pub in Swindon’s historic Railway Village. A right old boozer of a pub with partitioned seating with a pretty varied crowd, 2 of the 3 kids near me were drinking the real ale so a big thumbs up for that. Pretty much an automatic entry for the Good Beer Guide.
- Good selection of real ales and interesting people. Good to sit outside on a summer evening.
- Best real ale pub in Swindon...
- Cracking little pub
